THE AMERICAN STANDARD JAZZ BASS® IS THE SAME SLEEKLY VERSATILE, BEST-SELLING INSTRUMENT IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN, AND IT'S NOW UPGRADED WITH FENDER CUSTOM SHOP '60S JAZZ BASS SINGLE-COIL PICKUPS AND A STRIKING NEW JADE PEARL METALLIC FINISH OPTION. IT'S THE LATEST INCARNATION OF OUR TIMELESS, MUST-HAVE BASS HIT, AND IT NOW SINGS, SNARLS, GROOVES AND GROWLS MORE POWERFULLY THAN EVER.
BODY WOOD
AMERICAN STANDARD GUITARS AND BASSES ARE CRAFTED WITH PREMIUM ASH AND ALDER BODIES. SONICALLY, ASH IS SLIGHTLY BRIGHTER AND HAS A LOT OF POP, WHILE ALDER TYPICALLY PRODUCES THE MOST BALANCED TONE, WITH EQUAL HIGHS, MIDS AND LOWS.
NECK, FINGERBOARD
AND FRETS
AMERICAN STANDARD NECKS ARE MAPLE, WHICH SOUNDS BRIGHT AND HAS GREAT SUSTAIN, AND ARE SCULPTED WITH A COMFORTABLE MEDIUM THICKNESS AND MODERN “C” SHAPE. FINGERBOARDS ARE MAPLE OR ROSEWOOD, WHICH SOUNDS BIG AND WARM, AND HAVE A 9.5” RADIUS, WHICH IS FLATTER THAN VINTAGE-STYLE BOARDS. MEDIUM JUMBO FRETS DELIVER MODERN FEEL AND IMPROVED PLAYABILITY.
